New Blog Features
I really ought to be posting more now that the semester has started and I'm in the computer labs 15 hours a week. No excuses, other than I feel like I've had little to say.
I wanted to point out I'm trying to add some interesting features to my Blog. On my Sidebar you'll see a few new links. First, there's a link to the Scripture readings from the daily Lectionary. Second, there are links to various news headlines. Check them out, they're very non-intrusive. They'll open in a new, small window or tab, and list the top 5 headlines from each news service. Then you can decide if you want to take the time to look into the stories. It's quick, minimally intrusive, and handy if you're looking to get a brief overview of the latest news without having to go to the full pages of the news providers if you don't wish to.
The semester is off to a pretty good start. I'm LOVING my Mystical Writer's Class. We are starting with Doris Lessing's novel, Briefing For a Descent Into Hell. In conjuction with that, for today I'm supposed to read Barbara Brennan's "Heyoan's Metaphor of Reality," and two sections from Paramhansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi, "An Experience in Cosmic Consciousness" and "The Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar." Go ahead, be jealous!
Tomorrow I begin my observations for the spring at Riverside High School. I'm greatly looking forward to this.
Jillian and I have been really good for the last almost 3 weeks at getting to the Y about 5 days a week. I just haven't been posting so it's tough to let people know what I've done there. I haven't lost much weight yet, but my cardio capacity and stamina and overall strength are definitely already improving. In another 2 or 3 weeks it's time to settle in on a training regimen for the triathlon.
I hope anybody reading this has a blessed and peace-filled day.
Yesterday's weight: 222 | Yesterday's workout: Bike 45 minutes, Run .6 mile, Walk .4 mile
