Digging the Spring Weather

I don't have much to say today, just that I've been outside a lot over the past few days and I'm loving it. Friday my wife convinced me to go get the new running shoes I've had my eye on for the last two months. I was getting bad shin splints while running during January, February, and March. So we went to the National Running Center in Clarks Summit and a real shoe saleman - who was probably younger than me - took the time to watch me walk, examine my current shoes for wear, talk to me about how much and where I run, what I weigh, etc., etc...and helped me pick out a style of shoe that should help me out. I took note, and this past Saturday we went back and bought them (Jillian decided to get the same shoe in the women's version, because she hasn't had new kicks in like five years). All that to say, I ran outside on Monday at Scranton's Nay Aug Park and loved it. I also got a nice sunburn. Yesterday I biked to Marywood and picked up my course materials for the Distance Ed class I'm taking this summer, then I biked back home. Today I plan on hitting the paved trail at Lake Scranton for a run.
