Palmer has passed

Mark Palmer passed away yesterday morning. While I only had the blessing to spend time with him for two mornings and two evenings over these past two Christmas seasons during visits to my good friend Phil in Columbus, I count Palmer as a friend and an inspiration. This is a man who even in pain and exhaustion continued to show the welcoming love of Christ. As my friend Shawn said over on the losetcouch forum, "Wow, I feel like witnessing." And that's saying something.

Please pray for his wife, Amy, and his 4-year old son, Micah, his parents and siblings and all their family, and for the Landing Place community that he pastored. Please also pray for my friend Phil, and our friend Tom who just recently moved to Columbus and joined their community.
